The Story
...Is Vague. No, really, it is! Oh well, I'll try my best to amplify it for
you.Well,
one day, baby Bowser decided that he was fed up of seeing all the happy
Yoshi's, err, happy. So he hatched a plan to make them all unhappy. His
devilish plan was to steal the Yoshi's super happy tree. So he did, and the
whole island was turned into the pages of a story book. This had a very
detrimental effect on the Yoshis. Meanwhile, 6 Yoshi eggs hatched and out
popped 6 baby Yoshis. They could tell something was wrong instantly. "What
the -?! What are we going to do?", one said to another and after much
discussion about the mysterious disappearance of the super happy tree, they
decided to embark on a dangerous journey to recover the stolen super happy
tree. Your adventure begins...
The Game
Yoshi's Story's aim is
fairly simple, again, like Yoshi's
Island, get your Yoshi from A to B without getting crushed,
eaten, taken away, faint, sliced or falling off the screen. Simple as. Not
as simple if you're going for everything in the game, mind, and there's a
lot to go for too...
It's a fun game that is
supposed to appeal to the younger generation, but I still play it and I'm
almost 21! It's cute, colorful, and pulls you back for more which is what I
like in a game, but it doesn't have the magic of
Yoshi's island, and apart from my
opinions, a lot of people will feel 'too-old' to play it, shamefully.
I suggest you give it a
try. It's definitely worth it, it'll keep you busy for the best part of a
week or two (Or if you just want to get to the end, perhaps a day), but in
my opinion, I would have loved to see 'Touch Fuzzy - Get dizzy' from
Yoshi's island be done
to pseudo 3D style, and now Yoshi has a voice, it'd be well funny...
