The Story
"Dear Mario:
I am at the moment
traveling around Mushroom Kingdom. During my Journey I acquired a
mysterious map. Belive it or not, it's a treasure map! I found it inside a
box I got from an old lady selling things in a place called Rougeport, but I
think it would be rather hard for me to find the treasure all by myself...
So I'd like you to help me. Is that ok? I've enclosed the map with this
letter. Please bring it with you when you come. I'll be waiting for you at
Rougeport Harbor. Don't let me down, will you? Peach" (Extract copyright

Mario got ready and set out
to meet princess Peach, but when he got there, there was no sign of her. As
Mario was walking around, he noticed a Goomba in a tussle with another
strangely dressed folk. Mario got involved as the troubled Goomba hid behind
him. Mario helped out anyway and managed to break away from the mass of
strangely dressed blokes. It turns out, the Goomba girl is also searching
for treasure, and agrees to help you find it and what happened to princess
Peach too. The Goomba girl is named Goombella and joins your party. With the
help of one of Goombella's friends, Prof. Frankly, an archaeologist who
taught Goombella at the university of Oregoom, you will get ahead of the
many enemies you meet on your journey to find the crystal stars. Your
adventure begins.
The Game
This certainly is a special
game. Through the many worlds you'll get to go through, you'll eventually
rescue a Yoshi egg from being cooked by a hot dog wagon chef. It's not your
average Yoshi either. He's hot headed and ready for action, straight from
the egg. You'll grow to love his attitude as the game goes. He also calls
you nuts if you disagree to eat a cake in a certain part of the game too.
