Christmas 2008

It's that time of the year again. Christmas, the day when we celebrate the corporate bastards who wax rich off holiday sales. Of course, I just had to draw a picture to celebrate the superficiality.

Last Christmas, Cecilia received a big present. This year, she gets a small present. They're outside the castle walls, and for some reason, the castle walls have Christmas decorations. Cecilia has a bunch of decorations on her, while a mere Santa hat is good enough for cb. They're both happy, though.

The shading turned out pretty good, but I think Cecilia looks a bit too flamboyant. The background was done as quickly as possible without looking too crappy. Drawing Cecilia was hell on my attention span anyways.

Oh, and I even wrote a poem to go along with this:

A Little Gift
As told by cb000

It’s late afternoon, on the special Christmas day,
I’m outside with Cecilia, enjoying our time.
In the distance, Gintora and our Chimar play,
While we stand alone, in the air that’s so sublime.

There’s a strong wind today, our scarves dancing wildly,
It chills our bodies, but it’s no match for us two.
Last night’s powdery snow covers the fields widely,
The dying grass, the trees, even the bushes too.

We walk along the castle walls, chatting softly,
Sometimes looking at the field that’s ever so great.
You smile at me, and grasp my hand very tightly,
Quickly pulling me along, though we can’t be late.

You seem to be enjoying your time very much,
With those reindeer antlers placed gently on your head,
The gigantic candy cane in your hand and such,
You stroll along with much happiness in your stead.

Well, the sun has set; the night air seems to bug ya,
We are running out of time, the day is so swift.
Have a Merry Christmas, my darling Cecilia,
I now present to you, my love, a little gift.
